Hi, I'm Beth Christian Ellis DeMarco.  I am the daughter of Edward Barnes Ellis, Jr.,  Grand daughter of Edward "Skinny" Barnes Ellis, and great grand daughter of John and Virginia Ellis.

I never knew great grandfather Ellis, though I have heard many stories about him.  I was lucky enough to know Grandma Pete.  I remember traveling from Havelock to Goldsboro as a kid for holiday visits or family reunions.  Back then the trip seemed to take days, but I was always rewarded with a tight hug, a ham biscuit and some hard candy.  Daddy would ask  grandma how she was doing and she would always  say  "Same as always, fat and sassy." 

Being a new mom in today's world, I am amazed at the life that grandma, along with her husband and children, lived; what a century to have lived in!  I have often thought of her over the years for inspiration and looked at her as a role model.  Though I only have one child (and two bathrooms), I hope that some of grandma's strength, determination, character, and faith  will help me  to live a good, full  life.

This website  is dedicated in loving memory of her.  I plan to display it on the internet for one year so that family members and friends may all share stories, photos, and memories with each other.  If anyone would be interested in developing this into an Ellis family website, I would be happy to get it started.
